Chakeyda Mack is one of the Ryan White Wellness Center’s invaluable Care Managers. She ensures her patients are educated about HIV and remain compliant in their care. She encourages and coaches her patients to remain medication adherent, schedules lab work, and medical appointments, and provides external resources to her patients that need help meeting their basic needs. She also facilitates our Women’s Group in hopes of empowering women struggling with their diagnosis. She received her Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina and her Bachelor of Social Work from South Carolina State University. She has always been active in her community, and that participation drew her to social work. Watching a patient evolve from diagnosis to undetectable status and watching them thrive and live a happy life drives her to continue her work. A Summerville native, she has been a member of the Ryan White Wellness Center team for seven years.
